Sophie Pouzols, PhD(s)

I obtained my nursing degree in 2003 in Toulouse (France) where I worked for 8 years in a haematology unit. When I arrived in Lausanne in 2011, I was a nurse in the palliative medicine unit of the CHUV until 2021. Since 2021, I am coordinator of the performance of care at the direction of care of the CHUV.
MScSI holder since 2019, I joined the IN-SIGHT research group in 2020 as a research collaborator for the axis “systems for improving the performance of nursing services”. As a PhD student in the HAdAs programme since 2021, I am interested in the detection of hospital-acquired complications in the elderly. The aim of my thesis is the development and implementation of a computerised decision support tool for the early detection of the risk of nosocomial pressure injury.
In parallel, I am a university assistant at the IUFRS and teach MScSI students in the modules “Quantitative research estimation and results”, “Quality of care and patient safety” and “Research management”.
