CROSS

Through this annual call for projects, CROSS allocates funding to support research projects, which have the potential to become large-scale interdisciplinary research projects.

Up to six projects will be selected, with a maximum of CHF60,000 allocated per project.

The CROSS 2025 call is open to all themes.

Proposals must be submitted by Thursday, June 27, 2024.
Notification of decisions: By October 10, 2024 at the latest.

MAPS – Multilateral Academic Projects
MAPS aims to strengthen research collaboration between Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Switzerland.

MAPS is one of three funding instruments offered by the SNSF as part of the Second Swiss Contribution to selected EU member states. MAPS is financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

MAPS will be implemented through Joint Research Projects (JRPs) that promote clearly defined goals, involving at least one applicant based in Switzerland and two to five additional applicants from two to five of the participating EU-13 countries.

The Scientific Exchanges funding is aimed at researchers planning to organise a scientific event in Switzerland, invite colleagues from abroad for a research visit to Switzerland, or visit their colleagues abroad.

The SPIRIT programme facilitates knowledge exchange between Swiss researchers and researchers in selected countries that are receiving development assistance.

Belmont Forum : Africa regional call for proposals

The SNSF is taking part in the Belmont Forum's Africa Regional call for proposals. Calls for proposals provide funding for international and transdisciplinary research in the context of global environmental change.

Eligible researchers based in Switzerland can take part in this call for projects and apply to the SNSF for funding.

Horizon Europe - MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2024

MSCA postdoctoral fellowships are designed to enhance the creative and innovative potential of PhD researchers who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility.

Through the implementation of an original and personalized research project, MSCA postdoctoral fellowships aim to encourage excellence through training and mobility, and to equip researchers with new skills and competencies to identify solutions to current and future challenges.

Passer devant une commission d’éthique

Dans cet atelier, nous verrons quand, comment et pourquoi il peut être utile, nécessaire ou obligatoire de passer devant une commission d’éthique de la recherche.

L’atelier s’articule en trois parties. Dans un premier temps, nous reviendrons sur les cadres normatifs qui sous-tendent la recherche (lois, déclarations, chartes, etc.). Dans un deuxième temps, nous-nous pencherons sur le cas des commissions cantonales d’éthique de la recherche sur l’être humain, passage obligatoire pour tout·e chercheur·e travaillant sur la maladie et/ou sur le fonctionnement du corps. Finalement, nous nous exposerons les principes et procédures en vigueur au sein de la commission d’éthique de la recherche de l’UNIL.

Exportation des références Serval vers ORCID et le CV FNS

Cette formation est destinée aux chercheurs souhaitant apprendre à exporter correctement leurs notices Serval vers ORCID.

Par la suite, les participants apprendront comment ils peuvent enrichir leur CV FNS en y intégrant leurs références ORCID. Bien que cette intégration ne soit pas obligatoire, elle offre une nouvelle possibilité pour afficher les publications, avec l'information du compte ORCID figurant directement dans le CV généré.

La session inclura des démonstrations et un accompagnement individuel pour garantir une compréhension approfondie et une application efficace des techniques présentées.

Agora at UNIL: science meets society

The Agora instrument aims to promote dialogue between scientists and society: it encourages scientists to communicate their current research to a non-specialist audience.

At UNIL, a committee made up of members of UNICOM, the Service de Culture et Médiation Scientifique and the Service de la Recherche monitors Agora projects, providing targeted support for the preparation of applications and assistance with scientific communication and/or mediation.

Survey on the mental health and well-being of researchers - EU COST project entitled “Mental health of researchers” (ReMO)

As part of this project, the research team is conducting a survey on the mental health and well-being of researchers. The survey is aimed at researchers working in Europe, including Switzerland.

With this survey, the project team aims to create the largest ever reference on the well-being and mental health of researchers in the workplace.

The survey is conducted by researchers for researchers. By providing information on researchers' mental health and working conditions, we will be able to draw conclusions that will help us provide evidence and make recommendations for policy change.

Discover IRIS! The new research information system at UNIL

IRIS is the new research information system in the making at UNIL, which will eventually replace Serval!

Designed as an inclusive tool, it will preserve UNIL's scientific heritage, highlight its diversity and meet international, national and institutional Open Access requirements.

Switchdrive decommissioning

The SWITCHdrive service will be discontinued at UNIL on June 30, 2024. The data stored on your computer will not disappear, but the synchronization and sharing services will no longer function. Online access will no longer be possible. We therefore urge you to migrate your data to OneDrive by following this documentation.

If you'd like more information about the reasons for discontinuing this service, please read the article SWITCHdrive decommissioning, taken from our Ci News blog.

If you have any questions or specific needs in terms of data storage, you can contact the helpdesk, which will redirect your request to the appropriate service. You can also consult our new tool for choosing the right storage service.
