PUBLICATIONS

The Keller and Kawecki groups published an article in PNAS showing that sexual conflicts drives male manipulation of female postmating responses in Drosophila melanogaster. Dr Brian Hollis (former Posdtoc at the DEE and first author) as well as Dr Berra Erkosar Combe and Eleonore Genzoni contributed to this article. You can also see some media coverage about this publication, for instance on RTS-CQFD and in LeMatin.ch.

Working with the international 1KITE – 1’000 Insect Transcriptome Evolution – project, the Waterhouse Group published in Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution a large-scale phylogenomics study of the beetle superfamily, Dytiscoidea. As well as resolving disputed relationships, the study evaluated phylogenetic conflict and systematic error and investigated in detail potential sources of bias in the data and analysis approaches.
