EGODOCUMENTS.CH is

° an open access database and inventory of personal writings from 1500 to 1820. It contains egodocuments from each of the four linguistic areas of Switzerland

° a work in progress comprising more than 1700 documents (and for example 200 family books, 194 female texts and 214 travel diaries)

° directly linked to 130 english document abstracts

° a platform that provides an access to a growing number of scans and transcripts of these documents…

° an opportunity to rediscover the public and private lives of men and women from different social classes.
