The process of turning legal rules into clear, logical statements has been explored for a long time. This method is especially useful because it enables legal processes to be automated while staying understandable for people. However, translating legal rules into precise logic is not easy. Could large language models (LLMs) help with this? And what if these logical statements of legal norms get reintroduced into the training of LLMs? In this panel, we discuss the exciting possibilities for innovation that the combination of traditional rule-based AI and modern LLMs offers!
