Mélissa is from the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. Passionate about the alpine environment, she began studying geology at the University of Lausanne in 2020 and completed her Master’s degree in the CRAG group in June 2025. She started her PhD in October 2025 as part of the DRAGON project, and is focusing on the use of 3D and 4D UAV-based GPR to characterize and monitor steep and inaccessible glaciers. Outside of her research, Mélissa enjoys spending time in the mountains, doing sports, and adventuring with her friends.
