Research

We are a diverse team working with a variety of applied geophysical methods. Some of our members focus on data processing and inversion, developing novel algorithms and imaging techniques, whereas others are working towards new and exciting ways of acquiring data through advances in instrumentation.

One particularly exciting recent development is the construction of a drone-based ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system for high-density, high-resolution, 3D and 4D surveying of alpine glaciers. With this system, we are able to conduct such surveys with unprecedented efficiency and safety, allowing much larger datasets to be acquired than was previously possible.
