Friday afternoon at 3pm, Bastien Ruols successfully publicly defended his PhD thesis, entitled “Drone-based ground-penetrating radar for glaciological applications” to a packed seminar room with many others present on Zoom. As we all might have expected, it was a great presentation for the general public, with lots of fantastic animations and videos showcasing Bastien’s hard work and dedication over the past 4 years… from system development, to multiple field campaigns on Swiss glaciers and in the Canadian High Arctic, to data processing and interpretation. Congratulations, Dr. Ruols!!!
