Olivia Nederlandt holds a PhD in law. She is specialised in criminal and prison matters. She is currently a professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles where she teaches criminal procedure and a visiting professor at the Université Saint-Louis Bruxelles where she teaches criminal law. She is also conducting post-doctoral research on gender and prison. As part of her civic commitment, Olivia Nederlandt is president of the supervisory board of the Brussels prison, member of the Belgian section of the International Prison Observatory and she is also a member of the scientific committee of the GENEPI Belgium.
