Since autumn 2009, the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Neuchâtel and the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment of the University of Lausanne jointly offer a MSc in biogeosciences.
This Master of Science in Biogeosciences relies on the integration of two fields of natural sciences: biology and geology. It is based on the emergence of new fields of research at the multiple frontiers of these two disciplines. Its main objective is to prepare students for new trans-thematic disciplines based on an integrated approach to the natural and human-made environments.
This university master, unique in Switzerland, proposes an integrated reading of nature, both multidisciplinary and multiscale. It offers a strong scientific content and a high quality of training through practical work, including laboratory work and field trips. It is completed by a substantial personal research in the form of a Master’s dissertation.
