Alpine and Himalayan Geology

Welcome on the website of the Himalayalps research group in geology. This groupe is part of the Institut des Sciences de la Terre (ISTE) at the university of Lausanne.

Our research interest is the structural and regional geology in collisional orogen, especially the Alps and the Himalayas. Our work combines fieldwork, structural analyses, laboratory techniques, geological modelling, etc. to better understand the building of mountain ranges.

More detailed information on the different research topics can be found on the individual pages of the different group members
