Spring School for young researchers taking place from April 14 – 19, 2019


Give young researchers the opportunity to present their findings in a friendly environment, to meet and speak to researchers in other disciplines working on similar topics and to receive feedback from a few well-known experts in their field about the relevance of their work both in academia and practice.

Targeted audience

Young researchers (PhD students and researchers, academics, practitioners within 5 years of PhD graduation) across disciplines, such as actuarial science, demography, insurance, mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, biology, economics.


The structure of the Spring School will consist in opening experts presentations (45 min), contributed talks (20 to 30 min) by participating young researchers, followed by pannel discussions.

Registration fee

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the registration (& hotel) fee is set at only CHF 475 (≅ 420 Euro) per participant. The fee includes:

1. Accommodation from Sunday April 14th to Friday April 19th, 2019 (5 nights)
2. Breakfast from Monday to Friday
3. Lunch from Monday to Friday
4. Dinner from Sunday to Thursday
5. Excursion on Wednesday afternoon
