Dr. Linan Xu is a postdoc at the University of Lausanne, with a doctorate in geophysics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich (ETH Zürich). He also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Alberta. Linan’s expertise is in optimization algorithms, forward modelling methods, and dimension reduction techniques. At the University of Lausanne, he is responsible for GPR imaging. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is an enthusiastic cyclist who enjoys both road and mountain biking.
