Lausanne, 6th to 8th of July, 2023
The main goal of this workshop is to gather specialists and experts in Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS and NanoSIMS) to cover technical and scientific aspects of geochemical micro and nanoanalysis. This workshop will bring together scientists and students, laboratory managers and instrument manufacturers to discuss the state-of-the-art of SIMS and NanoSIMS analysis and scientific results. We are looking for contributions on the latest technical approaches that address scientific questions, instrument operation and improvements, standard calibrations and data treatment.
This workshop will be held at the University of Lausanne between 6th and 8th of July 2023, before the Goldschmidt Conference in Lyon. UNIL is house to the Center for Advance Surface Analysis (CASA, a joint facility between UNIL and EPFL) that includes a SIMS 1280HR and a NanoSIMS N50L instruments. The participants will be welcomed during an icebreaker party on Thursday evening. The workshop (Friday and Saturday) will include lectures from invited speakers, laboratory tours, discussion sessions and extended poster presentations from the participants. The trip to Lyon by train on Sunday 9th of July is included in the registration price (except Hybride registration).
