Heena Heena is a historian and a British Academy Newton International post-doctoral Fellow in the School of History, Classics, and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on various aspects of social, religious, labor, gender, and anti-colonial resistance histories in early modern and modern South Asia, with an emphasis on the history of female workers.
She is the author of “Muslims of Bengal: An analysis of some perspectives (1870s-1990s)”, Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (2019, with Jafri S.Z.H.), and “Communitarian relations, colonial remodelling and the British in pre-mutiny Awadh”, Delhi And Awadh During 1857 Studies (2019).
