Our laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge technologies to support high-quality preclinical cardiovascular and physiological research.

Key equipment includes the VisualSonics Vevo 3100 high-resolution ultrasound imaging system for advanced imaging, a complete DSI implantable telemetry platform for continuous monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate, and ECG in freely moving animals, and state-of-the-art microsurgery workstations designed for complex and precise surgical procedures.

In addition, we provide comprehensive anesthesia and perioperative monitoring equipment, ensuring optimal animal welfare and experimental reliability throughout all procedures.

Together, these technologies enable us to perform sophisticated longitudinal studies while generating robust, reproducible, and translational data.

Most equipment is handled exclusively by the team at MIF; however, some equipment can be used directly by the researchers given the appropriate experience/expertise.  

Animal Facility

MIF has a dedicated on site animal facility reserved for all affiliated research projects. The facility includes:

• Two standard rodent housing racks
• One dedicated housing rack for rodents implanted with telemetric devices, enabling continuous physiological data acquisition

This animal facility is designed to support high quality experimental work under controlled and compliant conditions.
