In November, Christoph and Tamara joined the Polar fieldwork health and safety training organised by the Swiss Polar Institute in association with the Groupe d’Intervention Médicale en Montagne (GRIMM). They learned more about medical support in polar and remote high-altitude environments like the one we will work in next April. They learned both about basic first-aid practices and the use of GRIMM field pharmacies – and enjoyed a bivouac overlooking the Haut Glacier d’Arolla in the Valais.
SPI also produced a short video showcasing the course: https://youtu.be/YIzIlRxUack
