I am currently a research fellow at the University Institute for Training and Research in Health Care (IURFS). As a clinical nurse specialist (ICLS) since September 2022, I wanted to pursue research in nursing sciences. My research work focuses on the implementation of advanced practice nurses (APNs) in home care in Vaud and Geneva.
Working in home care since the beginning of my professional career and having a large experience in community care, nursing research in relation with the elderly was an obvious choice for me.
Convinced of the value of APNs in community care, both for the patient and the health care system, my thesis project will aim to implement a new model of care integrating APNs in home care via implementation sciences.
The transition of care, the development and monitoring of an implementation project as well as the context analysis are the main themes of my research project.
The promotion of the role of APNs in community care seems to me to be essential at the political level as well as at the level of care teams and patients.
In order to promote this and to actively exchange on professional practices and the development of the role of the APNs, I participate in the French-speaking group of ICLS, gathering ICLS from different Swiss health institutions.
