Exporting records from Serval to ORCID and the FNS CV

This training is designed for researchers who would like to learn how to properly export their Serval records to ORCID.

Subsequently, participants will learn how to enrich their FNS CV by integrating their ORCID references. Although this integration is not mandatory, it offers a new possibility to display publications, with the ORCID account information appearing directly in the generated CV.

The session will include demonstrations and individual support to ensure a deep understanding and effective application of the techniques presented.

Prerequisites: please bring your laptop and make sure you have an active Unisciences profile (applications.unil.ch) before participating in the training.

For FBM researchers UNIL and CHUV, a specific course is offered by BiUM: https://www.bium.ch/formations/

Research ethics

Ethical issues are playing an increasingly important role in research discourse and practice. Whether to comply with legal requirements, meet new demands from funding bodies and publishing houses, or gain access to certain fields, researchers are increasingly required to submit their projects to ethical evaluation procedures.

While this development is necessary in many respects, it can sometimes be perceived as an obstacle to academic freedom.

Hands on Open Access

The SNSF, the EC and Switzerland's national Open Access strategy now require all publicly-funded research results to be published in Open Access mode. Are you up to the challenge?

This hands-on workshop will show you what Open Access is and the different Open Access mandates of the major funding agencies. We'll guide you through the different ways of publishing in Open Access, taking into account your rights and obligations regarding Open Access as a UNIL researcher. We'll show you the resources available to help you publish in Open Access, and how to disseminate your latest Open Access publication in practice.

For FBM researchers from UNIL and CHUV, a special course is offered by BiUM: https://www.bium.ch/formations/

Launch of Interface

The Interface partnership research fund is designed to support innovative approaches to research, aimed at meeting concrete needs in the field. These approaches will also make the results more accessible to society, with the aim of achieving a societal impact in the medium term. The relevance of Interface projects is thus based on the link between scientific expertise and the knowledge and skills of those working in the field.

If you are interested in this program, you can find all the information you need on the Interface website (in french), and make an appointment online with its coordinator, Cléolia Sabot.
