New European Bauhaus – Prizes “Reconnecting with nature”

On 18 January, the European Commission launched the New European Bauhaus Prizes. Applicants can be
EU or non–EU residents, as long as their projects are physically located or developed in the EU.

The prizes in the current call for entries will be awarded in two competition areas:

• “New European Bauhaus Awards” for existing and completed examples
• “New European Bauhaus Rising Stars” for concepts or ideas submitted by young talents aged 30 or less

Applicants in both fields must assign themselves to one of the following four categories:

• Reconnecting with nature
• Regaining a sense of belonging
• Prioritising the places and people that need it the most
• The need for long-term, life-cycle thinking in the industrial ecosystem

A total of 18 prizes will be awarded, each with prize money between EUR 10’000 and 30’000. Individuals as well as institutions can apply; joint applications are also possible.
