INTERREG Alpine Space

28 février 2022 Toute la journée

Funding is available for transnational cooperation projects focused on a climate resilient and green Alpine region, enhancing biodiversity and green infrastructure, promoting energy efficiency and the transition to a circular economy and supporting innovation and digitalisation. Funding is also available to enhance institutional capacity to implement macro-regional, sea-basin and other terrirtorial strategies.

INTERREG Alpine Space is a European transnational cooperation programme for the Alpine region. The programme is financed through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) with co-funding provided from national public and private sources in the Partner States. It follows on from three previous cooperation programmes: Interreg IIIB Alpine Space Programme, launched in 2000, Interreg IVB Alpine Space which ran from 2007 to 2013, and Interreg VB Alpine Space 2014 to 2020.

The Alpine Space Programme aims to exploit these opportunities and fully embrace this innovative and trail-blazing approach which will require commitment and cooperation. For 2021-2027, the following thematic priorities have been identified:

Eligibility Criteria

Participating organisations must be from the eligible geographic area and may be in the public, private, voluntary or community sectors, providing they have a legal constitution and are financially sound. This includes universities, not-for-profit organisations, and those sectors of regional and local authorities contributing to the territorial development process (transport, environment, regional development, etc.). Public-private partnerships may also apply for funding.

Match Funding Restrictions

Projects can expect an ERDF contribution of up to 75%. Therefore, match funding of at least 25% will be required.

Application Procedure

Applications are made in response to calls for proposals.

  • The application process for Classic Projects follows two steps, with an initial invitation to submit a short version of the application form (AF Step 1) via the Joint Electronic Monitoring System (JEMS). Classic Projects Step 1 Deadline: 28 February 2022. Applicants successful at Stage 1 will be invited to submit a full proposal.
  • Applications for small-scale projects can be submitted on an ongoing basis, and decisions on project selection are taken twice a year. There are two cut-off dates in 2022. The first cut-off date for submission of proposals is 22 April 2022 (Start date for all approved projects 4-8 July 2022). A second cut-off date will be fixed in autumn 2022.
