SNSF Starting Grants

The Federal government has mandated the SNSF to launch the SNSF Starting Grant call.

Please note that the 2023 SNSF Starting Grant call is an integrative call. In addition to being the Transitional Measure for the 2023 ERC Starting Grants, it also covers Eccellenza and PRIMA. 

For this reason, there will be no separate call for Eccellenza, PRIMA or SNSF Professorial Fellowships, the latter announced earlier this year as the new funding scheme merging PRIMA and Eccellenza.

Main eligibility criteria: 3-8 year after PhD defence. Applicants can request a budget of up to CHF 1.8 million for a period of 5 years. All details on SNF dedicated website.
