Are you currently undergoing or have you undergone medically assisted reproduction (MAR) treatment in Switzerland?
We are looking for people willing to share their experiences for a sociological study conducted at the University of Lausanne and funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).

Objectives of the online survey
As part of the project, the online questionnaire aims to gather information on how MAR is experienced by a large number of people in Switzerland in order to gain an overall picture of the diversity of these experiences. In particular, it collects information regarding:
- perceptions, beliefs, values, motivations, limitations, disappointments and expectations;
- The extent to which these perceptions, beliefs and values do or do not influence the way ART is experienced;
- The sources of motivation found and the support seeked;
- The role, or lack thereof, played by alternative, spiritual or religious practices during this experience;
- Some socio-demographic data and some practical information of the treatment (duration, level of involvement).
In concrete terms
Completing this questionnaire will take approximately 15 minutes. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and unpaid. You may decide at any time to stop or not to answer certain questions, without having to give a reason.

Purpose of the interviews
Gain a better understanding of how couples facing infertility or the need to undergo medical treatment to conceive experience this period of their life and make their decisions, taking into account their:
- values, beliefs and expectations that influence the process and may change over time;
- figures who have been sources of support (doctors, loved ones, associations, spiritual practices, etc.);
- negotiations of choices within the couple;
- possible ritual practices (religious, spiritual and/or cultural).
In concrete terms
- An initial meeting for an interview lasting approximately 1.5 to 2 hours ;
- Possibility of further meetings if agreed;
- Confidentiality guaranteed: your stories and data will be completely pseudonymised;
- No remuneration, participation is voluntary.
