Workshop on “Copyright and Second Publication Rights”.

In the framework of the Regulatory Framework project funded by swissuniversities, CCdigitlallaw offers 3 workshops on copyright and second publication rights. The workshops are aimed at all researchers in Switzerland who are curious to learn more about the possibilities of second publications (the green way to Open Access).

The workshops will cover the following topics:

• When is a work under copyright and for how long?
• Who is the author and who owns the rights?
• What are Creative Commons licenses?
• What is the role of the 5 Swiss collecting societies?
• Open access and second publishing rights: what is possible today and where are the current discussions going?  

A workshop will be organized in each of the three linguistic regions of Switzerland.

For the French-speaking region, the workshop will take place at EPFL on Tuesday, June 13, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in room BC420.

All workshops are held in English, are free of charge and are followed by an aperitif!
