Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships

septembre 14, 2022 8:00 17:00

The MSCA Fellowships are open to all domains of research and innovation, from fundamental research to market take-up and innovation services. Researchers must hold a PhD at the call deadline and have no more than 8 years research experience after their PhD and must not have spent more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the call deadline in the country of the future host institution

There two types of fellowships:

European Fellowships : Is open to researchers currently within or outside Europe who want to work in an EU Member State or Associated Country. The duration of the fellowship is 12 to 24 months. All nationalities.

Global Fellowships: Is open to researchers currently within or outside Europe who want to move to a Third Country (outgoing phase 2 years) and then come back to an EU Member State or Associated Country (mandatory return phase 1 year). The duration of the fellowship is 24 to 36 months. For nationals of EU Member State or Associated Country.

Currently Switzerland has the status of a “third country”, therefore;

  • European Fellowships with Swiss host institutions are NOT possible in the 2022 call.
  • Swiss institutions CAN host the outgoing phase of a Global Fellowship.
  • Swiss nationals are not eligible to participate in a Global Fellowships, unless they are long-term residents in an EU Member State or Associated Country.

As it was done in 2021 (see call), in order to compensate for the ineligibility of Switzerland, the SNSF has set up a transitional call planned for 2022.

Deadline: 14 September 2022 (17:00 Brussels time).
