“How to talk about primates to journalists”
A pre-conference workshop run by Marion de Vevey. The workshop will run from 10:00 – 12:00 on Wednesday 5th June, before the start of the conference. To sign up, email efp2024@unil.ch or sign up on the conference questionnaire which will be sent to all registered conference attendees on the 17th of May.
The Workshop
Talking about your research to journalists is as much important as it is difficult. You don’t have the time to explain the complexity of your work and you never know how the article will end up. So what can you do as a scientist? Plenty! In this workshop, you will understand the pressures journalists are facing, learn a few tips about framing your answers and know how to get ready for the moment someone will ask you for an interview.
The workshop will be separated into three parts: a talk, an exercise, and a discussion. Come to learn how to spread your research!
