Newsletter

DBC News is a monthly publication that seeks to inform first and foremost faculty members, researchers and students. It also reaches out to a wider community - Department of Computational Biology partners, visiting faculty and friends.

Alongside the Department's website it is a complementary means of keeping abreast of the Department's rich and diversified scientific activities - visiting faculty, exceptional conferences, publications, awards, appointments, calls for papers and research, ...

WELCOME

The whole DBC extends the warmest of welcomes to new members.
Stefano Pascarelli
Postdoc, Group Dessimoz

Stefano Pascarelli obtained his undergraduate studies in University of Bologna, and completed a PhD in Protein Bioinformatics at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), Japan. Before OIST, he spent some time doing research in Stockholm University (Elofsson Lab), University of Padova (Tosatto Lab), and EMBL (Gibson Lab). For his post-doc in UNIL, he will work on reconstructing the ancestral metazoan protein content and interaction networks. His interests include Bioinformatics, Interactomics, Metagenomics, Team Sports, Board Games, and Cooking. Feel free to hit him up if you want to talk about any of those things or more!
