Regan is a postdoctoral researcher in the Atmospheric Processes group, studying the interaction of the stratosphere with the troposphere using a range of modelling tools; from idealised to complex to AI models.

Regan’s PhD at the University of Exeter also focused on the “stratospheric pathway”; they studied the response of the northern stratospheric polar vortex to Arctic climate change, as well as extreme impacts to the European energy sector following sudden stratospheric warmings.
