[San Francisco] The Future of Science Storytelling with Data
27 juillet 2023 @ 18:00 - 20:30
Join us for an evening on telling the stories of science with data. Storytellers from Cal Academy, The Los Angeles Times, and Reuters will share visualizations, followed by a panel discussion and reception.
Explore the intersection of storytelling, technology, and ethics!
Some of the most critical science stories of our time are found in data, from a changing climate to evolving pandemics. How can large datasets be transformed into films, new stories, and other public experiences that support understanding and action?
Join us for an evening with leading data storytellers Abhinanda Bhattacharyya from the Los Angeles Times, Daisy Chung from Reuters, Ryan Wyatt from the California Academy of Sciences, moderated by curator Jennifer Frazier of the Science Communication Lab. We’ll see examples of how scientific data can be transformed into meaningful stories, and explore the intersection of storytelling, technology, and ethics.
