Hello, I am

Kristina Shemet

Graduated in 2024 with thesis titled:

Using Large Language Models for Retrieval-Augmented Generation in Actuarial Science

Internship Thesis at Azenes AG

I recently finished a Master’s in Finance from the University of Lausanne.

I am very interested in using AI, especially Large Language Models (LLMs), to solve problems in finance. My recent research focused on how LLMs can help automate and improve the processing of financial regulations. The tool we developed can act as an assistant, providing knowledge of various laws and rules from Swiss financial regulators.

In the future, I want to explore more of the limits of LLMs and apply them in my day-to-day work. Currently, I am discovering the field of actuarial science at my job and enjoying working with the Julia Programming Language. I think the world of programming and LLMs keeps us creative.
