Dr. Kadar is currently a Manager of Applied Research at Thomson Reuters Labs, where she leads an R&D team specialized in AI innovations leveraging Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing to tackle complex business challenges and drive measurable outcomes. With a proven track record in both managerial and individual contributor roles, Dr. Kadar has successfully applied AI across diverse industries — including legal, media, law enforcement, insurance, and banking. Her extensive interdisciplinary expertise and strong product sense enable her to craft AI solutions that effectively address user needs.

Dr. Kadar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a Master’s degree with Honours in Software Engineering, and a PhD in Information Systems and Applied Machine Learning from ETH Zurich, which included a research stint at the University of Cambridge. Her career has been distinguished by numerous awards for academic excellence, outstanding research, and impactful industry applications.

Passionate about bridging the gap between AI research and real-world impact, she serves on the advisory board of the Applied Artificial Intelligence Lab at the University of Lausanne and was previously a member of the steering committee of the Media Technology Center at ETH Zurich.
