Her publications include two monographs on sixteenth-century Bhakti:&nbsp;<em>Krishna\u2019s Round Dance Reconsidered<\/em>&nbsp;(Curzon, London 1996) and&nbsp;<em>In Praise of Holy Men<\/em>&nbsp;(Egbert Forsten, Groningen 2002) and a book comparing classical Sanskrit, early modern Hindi and contemporary film and television retellings of the stories of Sita and Radha:&nbsp;<em>The Goddess as Role Model&nbsp;<\/em>(OUP, New York 2008).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has authored a trilogy on Kishangarh art and poetry:&nbsp;<em>Cultural Exchange in Eighteenth-century India<\/em>&nbsp;(E.B. Verlag, Berlin 2015),&nbsp;<em>Mobilizing Krishna\u2019s World&nbsp;<\/em>(University of Washington Press, Seattle 2017), and a third volume has just appeared from Cambridge University Press:&nbsp;<em>&nbsp;The Voice of the Indian Mona Lisa.<\/em>&nbsp;She has also co-edited a special issue of the&nbsp;<em>Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society<\/em>&nbsp;on vernacular views of Aurangzeb(with Anne Murphy, 2018) and of&nbsp;<em>South Asian History and Culture<\/em>&nbsp;on fifteenth-century Gwalior (with Eva De Clercq, 2020).
