He is part of the\u00a0ERC consolidator grant project\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong>Democratising the Family? Gender Equality, Parental Rights, and Child Welfare in Contemporary Global History\u201d (DEMFAM).\u00a0His project is entitled \u201cUnfamiliar: Family, Law, and Democracy in South Asia.\u201d The project explores colonial genealogies and postcolonial trajectories of debates around minorities and family law in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. His publications include a\u00a0monograph<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>Minority Pasts: Locality, Emotions, and Belonging in Rampur<\/em>. New Delhi:\u00a0Oxford University Press, 2022.
