This is mainly because the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying nutrition-related dysbiosis remain elusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We work on untangling the role of the microbiome, (asymptomatic) enteric infections, inflammation and nutrition on the gut ecosystem, metabolism and systemic changes. To this purpose, we use different animal models as well as cell culture\/&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;based approaches to infer causal relationship between these different entities and try to unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms.
