On 23 August 2022, Sandrine Baume, from the UPCiDe team, will be presenting some of her most recent research on political compromises at the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) General Conference, which takes place at the University of Innsbruck this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her paper, co-authored with Yannis Papadopoulos, is entitled “Why So Much Hatred? The Normative Reasons for Populists\u2019 Disdain for Compromises.” It aims at analyzing the reasons behind the oft-repeated conflict between the populist ideology and the practice of compromise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
