The University of Lausanne<\/a> (UNIL)<\/strong> and the International Union for Conservation of Nature<\/a> (IUCN)<\/strong> are world renowned institutions in Canton Vaud, Switzerland.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

IUCN is one of the largest conservation organisations in the world, bringing together science, practice and policy. Its membership covers governments, non-governmental organisations and Indigenous people\u2019s organisations and its work and congresses influence conservation thinking worldwide. UNIL is a world-class university which aims to have an impact in the conservation related domains of biodiversity, conservation and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their work is complementary with UNIL generating research and students interested in conservation and IUCN using research to inform their practice. In November 2019, they signed a Memorandum of Understanding<\/a> which foresees collaboration in the following areas: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

teaching and training<\/a>, events<\/a>, r<\/a>esearch<\/a>, publications<\/a>, inter-institutional collaborators<\/a>, library collections and archives, internships, co-supervision of masters projects and\/or PhD theses, and other areas of common interest.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
