A full day of short courses on the 9<sup>th<\/sup> of September covered multiple subjects, such as remote sensing, LiDAR (Light\u00a0Detection\u00a0And\u00a0Ranging), InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Rada<strong>r<\/strong>), and ground-based InSAR SFM (structure from motion), but also new methods, such as multispectral remote sensing and processing on virtual outcrops and point clouds. The conference has also covered the use of virtual field trips for education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the detailed programme is available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/vgc-series.org\/conference-programme-and-time-schedule\/\">VGC<\/a> website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNIL Risk Group has presented multiple subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thermal imaging for geothermal exploration (Jajia River, Taiwan) (Marc-Henri Derron) <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Geomorphology-aware deep models for terrain surface completion (Tianxin lu )\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improving digital image correlation (DIC) for uniaxial compression tests on cylindrical samples. A field and virtual visit to the Creux de Champ Valley and was completed by a workshop.
