About 1000 houses were affected and 300 of them were buried under 60 meters of debris\u00a0(<a title=\"Afghan landslide survivor search abandoned\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/asia\/2014\/05\/thousands-reported-dead-afghan-landslide-20145372655196915.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AlJazeera<\/a>). Fatalities number is unknown but some sources reported\u00a0350 killed people and 2500 missing persons (<a title=\"Catastrophe en Afghanistan : 300 morts, un village transform\u00e9 en cimeti\u00e8re\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lemonde.fr\/asie-pacifique\/article\/2014\/05\/02\/des-centaines-de-disparus-apres-un-glissement-de-terrain-en-afghanistan_4410906_3216.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LeMonde<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>While the\u00a0villagers attempted to save some goods and cattle after the\u00a0first little landslide, a\u00a0second massive landslide occurred, covering many people (<a title=\"Fin des recherches apr\u00e8s le glissement de terrain d\u00e9vastateur en Afghanistan\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lefigaro.fr\/international\/2014\/05\/02\/01003-20140502ARTFIG00280-glissement-de-terrain-devastateur-en-afghanistan.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LeFigaro<\/a>).
