Hotel Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Conference participants are asked to make independent arrangements for accommodation. Below is a list of hotels within easy reach of the University of Lausanne,\u00a0and that can guarantee conference room rates<\/strong> to conference participants.<\/span> Several rooms (single and double) are pre-booked for the conference in the different hotels\u00a0until mid-December 2018.<\/span> Participants should mention the “Northern Lights” conference when booking in order to obtain the conference <\/span><\/span>rate.\u00a0Rooms can be booked directly with the hotels by phone or by email. Hotels in Lausanne tend to be small and they can fill up quickly, so it is advisable to book early. There is a link to a list of further hotels at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\n

The conference will take place at Quartier Chamberonne, UNIL Chamberonne, University of Lausanne<\/strong>, situated on the banks of Lake Geneva on the west side of the city. The site is a one-minute walk from the metro stop UNIL-Chamberonne<\/strong> (M1).<\/p>\n

Please note, most hotels in Lausanne issue tourists with a Lausanne Transport Card<\/a>, which gives any guest staying in Lausanne and paying the tourist tax FREE and unrestricted access<\/strong> to all the public transport services in the city (bus, train, and metro). The ticket is valid for the duration of the hotel reservation, including arrival and departure days. ID must be presented. Trips between Lausanne city centre to the UNIL campus are included in this pass. Please check with your hotel when booking.<\/p>\n

Hotel Aulac 3*<\/strong><\/a>
\nHotel Aulac is located in the Ouchy area of Lausanne by the lakeside. All the rooms at Hotel Au Lac Lausanne provide a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and a mini bar. A shower, a hair dryer and cable\/satellite channels are also provided.\u00a015 single rooms have been reserved until 15 December 2018 at the conference rate:\u00a0Single room city view CHF 145.- \/ night. Hotel AlaGare 3*<\/strong><\/a>
\nLocated in the heart of Lausanne, near the train station, Hotel AlaGare offers both a traditional environment and modern equipment, with 45 recently renovated single and double rooms. 15 single* rooms have been reserved at a special conference rate of 135 CHF per night, with breakfast, services and VAT included. A tourist tax of 3.10 CHF per person, per day will be added to the the price of the room. To make reservations: booking@hotelalagare.ch, citing the conference and quoting the code R&N2019. The booking deadline is 20 February 2019.<\/p>\n
