On 12 January 2026, the students of the Msc course Planning & Housing presented their final projects. Working on several densification projects in the cities of Renens and Lausanne, the students were asked to develop a photo series or podcast about the site, while addressing one or several of the themes discussed in the lecture. The projects focused on issues such as social sustainability, social inclusion, accessibility, public participation, and gentrification.
Mélanie Artique from the Ville de Renens and Carine Descouvrières from the Ville de Lausanne provided inputs on the ongoing densification projects in their city.
The final products developed by the students were presented as part of a public exhibition at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability (Géopolis).
