Its date was later selected to hold the National Earthquake Safety Day.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Maagh 2 falls on January 16th, and Nepali people celebrate this event for the 22nd time. The <a href=\"https:\/\/seismoschoolnp.org\">Seismology at School in Nepal<\/a> project participated with two events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A newspaper article in Kantipur \u2013 see <a href=\"https:\/\/ekantipur.com\/opinion\/2020\/01\/16\/157914166903942052.html\">here<\/a> (in Nepali),<\/li>\n<li>A coordinated \u201c<strong>jump near your seismometer<\/strong>\u201d action in schools participating in the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pictures of the latter event at schools, and observed waveforms and shaking are shown below.
