L\u2019\u00e9tude de l\u2019avant-texte confirme que l\u2019accident est inh\u00e9rent \u00e0 toute invention, pr\u00e9sent au point de d\u00e9part des programmations les plus rigoureuses comme des d\u00e9rives les plus impr\u00e9vues. Sous un de ses aspects, il est la r\u00e9sultante in\u00e9vitable de la collision des imp\u00e9ratifs internes contradictoires. Dans une perspective diff\u00e9rente, il est la marque de l\u2019autre et de son accueil plus ou moins forc\u00e9 au sein du m\u00eame. M\u00eame les \u0153uvres les mieux planifi\u00e9es sont sujettes aux accidents\u00a0: accidents biographiques ou politiques majeurs qui bouleversent ou interrompent le cours de la gen\u00e8se, infimes accidents graphiques qui infl\u00e9chissent localement l\u2019\u00e9criture. \u00c9tudier l\u2019impact de l\u2019accident est le meilleur moyen de comprendre la logique sous-jacente du processus qu\u2019il vient perturber, mais aussi de constater qu\u2019une autre logique est souvent mise au jour par l\u2019accident, \u00e0 partir de laquelle l\u2019\u0153uvre est r\u00e9interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e a posteriori. Hasard ou d\u00e9terminisme, c\u2019est une affaire de storytelling, de la part du critique, mais aussi de celle de l\u2019\u00e9crivain au cours de la gen\u00e8se. Mod\u00e8les pour une critique g\u00e9n\u00e9tique<\/em><\/a>, coll. \u00ab\u00a0Po\u00e9tique\u00a0\u00bb, Paris, Seuil, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Accident and (Narrative of) Genesis Genetic criticism, a discipline that focuses on the process of invention (particularly the invention of narrative) as it can be reconstituted on the basis of remaining traces of this process in manuscripts, is faced with chance at every stage. Studying the pre-text (avant-texte) confirms that accidents are inherent in all inventions and that they are present from the very beginning of the most rigorous programs in the form of the most unforeseen drifts. At one level it is the inevitable result of the collision of contradictory internal imperatives. From another point of view, it is the mark of the other and of its more or less forced reception in the text. Even the best planned works are subject to accidents: major biographical or political accidents that disrupt writing at the local level. Studying the impact of the accident is the best way to understand the underlying logic of the process it disturbs as well as to observe that another logic is often brought to light by accident. On this basis, the work is reinterpreted a posteriori. Chance or determinism is a matter of storytelling by the critic but also by the writer in the course of genesis.
