One<br \/>\nspewed as fruit flies drowned in drink rings,<br \/>\nplucked, sponged, wiped<br \/>\naway by bartenders with the promise of a<\/p>\n<p>blithe night, so to relinquish limerence was the<br \/>\nembrace of scarce sweet nothings as I secured<br \/>\nhair you once adulated from streams of bile and<br \/>\nthe sticky grips of duplicitous people. Outside,<\/p>\n<p>our collective reeling did not wane with the ease<br \/>\nof moons, yet we were tethered to your unrestrained<br \/>\ninsistence it would pass. Just as one announces that<br \/>\nall the pigeons are vanishing from town tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: transparent\">\u00a7<br \/>\n\u00a7<\/p>\n<p><strong>To come to a crabapple\u2019s aid<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tannic throughout, the orchard\u2019s<br \/>\nhorse marine, a tart fruit scattered<br \/>\nacross threadbare canvases of<\/p>\n<p>eroded soil can be saved from<br \/>\ncomposting neglect in the shrubbery\u2019s<br \/>\nshade. Chopped, it froths and slushes<\/p>\n<p>above warm pans, strained for juice<br \/>\nthen boiled into jelly. Perhaps that<br \/>\nseemingly unpalatable character<\/p>\n<p>waits upon a baker\u2019s time with the<br \/>\nheat of stovetop endeavors, before<br \/>\nrevealing their sweet ambrosia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Image: &#8216;perfectly sugared and glazed crabapple&#8217; \u00a9 paul+photos=moody.
