PERVADING<\/p>\n

Not even a glimpse; a sight felt.
\nTail end of a coat slips through
\nfingers, gone; invoking
\nall the befores and afters,
\nflocking ghosts crowding
\npresent on all sides, leaving
\nno solid between-times
\nto stand on, no unflavoured now.
\nFlickering will o\u2019 the wisps evade
\ntouch, drive mad. Shades taint
\nthe day long after they\u2019ve escaped,
\nsuch gentle breezes between yearning hands.
\nTraces of shadows remain.<\/p>\n

Indelible.<\/p>\n

INTRATEXTUAL<\/p>\n

And why should I not fall
\nheadfirst into words?
\nTheirs is a spell I seek,
\nkeepers of realms
\nthat stand brighter and taller
\nthan the one my eyes can see.<\/p>\n

Through, then, whichever looking glass,
\n\u2018Far\u2019 is all I care for. Snow cushions
\nmy fall, and Aslan\u2019s fierce heat
\noffers the warmth I need, holding fast
\nto his flaming mane as on and on he runs.
\nIf chilled by the witch\u2019s breath drawing near,<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll turn another cover, grasp the Firebolt\u2019s
\nthrilling handle and go, forever
\nhigher among the clouds. A golden snitch
\nwill crown the flight, delight be found
\nat Weasleys\u2019 Wizard Wheezes. A curse
\nsnatches away both wand and dream, so with a knife<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll tear open worlds \u2013 on the run
\nbut not alone, my dear daemon,
\nfaithful friend, truer to me than I \u2013
\nuntil unveiled death breaks the bond.
\nWounded realms crumble to dust.
\nI am home-bound; it is time to close.<\/p>\n

Hard times for minds
\nprone to overthinking,
\nfor hearts that haven\u2019t mastered the art
\nof losing neither memories nor stories.
\nWhat remedies for a spirit
\nscratching itself raw?<\/p>\n

\u2013 Every word holds a moment of being,
\na wave that revives, beaming lighthouse
\ntearing through fog, a promised rapture.
\nWho cares if I wake or sleep
\n\u2013 Away, away fair nightingale,
