Many new editors have joined the team, so don\u2019t worry about being too creative \u2013 we\u2019re ready to handle any kind of written art.&nbsp;\ud83d\ude0c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f4f3eb\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Submissions<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have written anything in English recently, whether it be articles on issues that you\u2019re passionate about, short stories, poetry, recipes, reviews, or even artwork, we want it. If you want to change up the rhythm of academic writing, try your hand at creative texts, or just have the opportunity to have your work and voice published, then MUSE is for you! For example, if you have written a creative assignment for a class, that is something we like to showcase.<br>There is no word limit and authors have the option to be credited using initials, a pen name, or anonymously. You can also add a picture you\u2019ve taken yourself, or a free license one, to illustrate your words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f4f3eb\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">Send your contributions to&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"mailto:muse.unil@gmail.com\">muse.unil@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong><br>by&nbsp;<strong>November 10&nbsp;<\/strong>(Reading week Sunday)<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f4f3eb\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Ask-the-Students<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to showcasing written works, each issue features special segments such as staff interviews, quizzes, and writing competitions. This time around, we are excited to introduce another installment of our&nbsp;Ask-the-Studentspoll. This semester&#8217;s question is:&nbsp;<strong>If you could go back in time and talk with your past self what would you tell them?<\/strong>&nbsp;Go&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/vzo5yZfCsz2q32cM9\"><strong>fill-out the form<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;anonymously!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><strong>Fun fact\u2026<\/strong> The English department is home to the student-run&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/scopeunil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Creative Writing Club<\/a>! They meet every other Tuesday (08.10, 22.10, 12.11, 26.11 &amp; 10.12) in a pressure-free environment, and snacks and prompts are provided. Whatever is produced by CWC participants is publishable! Join them for a session or two!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f4f3eb\" class=\"has-inline-color has-secondary-color\">Short story contest<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t&nbsp;miss out on the&nbsp;<em>amazing<\/em>&nbsp;opportunity to&nbsp;<strong>win gift vouchers<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;Books Books Books, the English bookshop in Lausanne.&nbsp;This semester\u2019s short story contest is about&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote has-large-font-size\"><blockquote><p>\u201c<strong>People and Places<\/strong>\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Let yourself be inspired by&nbsp;places&nbsp;you remember and&nbsp;love, or even fictional places, and the people linked to it. The word limit is 1500w.
