Sur les traces d\u2019une m\u00e9moire dispers\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>En 1728, Jacques-Philippe, fils de l\u2019ancien ambassadeur d\u2019Angleterre \u00e0 Berne Philibert d\u2019Herwarth, et son \u00e9pouse Jeanne-Esther, fille de l\u2019architecte bernois Jean-Jacques D\u00fcnz, s\u2019\u00e9tablissent \u00e0 Vevey. Jacques-Philippe ach\u00e8te du banquier Aim\u00e9 Grenier une \u00ab\u00a0maison nouvellement b\u00e2tie\u00a0\u00bb sur la place du March\u00e9. Il enrichit le d\u00e9cor des fa\u00e7ades et am\u00e9nage l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de mani\u00e8re somptueuse. Maison et jardin abritent un nombre extraordinaire d\u2019\u0153uvres d\u2019art. L\u2019unique h\u00e9riti\u00e8re du couple Herwarth-D\u00fcnz ayant \u00e9pous\u00e9 un noble anglais, ces richesses artistiques sont transf\u00e9r\u00e9es en 1780, avec les archives, au ch\u00e2teau de Nostell Priory. Si la maison, tout d\u2019abord transform\u00e9e en douane, a totalement disparu en 1896, c\u2019est donc en Angleterre que l\u2019on peut encore admirer les derniers vestiges de la splendeur voulue par Jacques-Philippe.
