Some of our research is being showcased at INVISIBLES. La vie cach\u00e9e des microbes<\/a>, a beautiful 18-month long exhibition at the mus\u00e9e de la main<\/a> in Lausanne.<\/p>\n

Together with colleagues, I have commissioned and designed a YouTube video<\/a> explaining the problem of antimicrobial resistance to a lay Egyptian audience and appealing to people to reduce their consumption of antibiotics to alleviate this global threat. This video has now been viewed more than 93’000 times.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I have written an article in an Egyptian newspaper (al-Ahram online, 2015) clarifying misconceptions associated with vaccination: Should I vaccinate my children?<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

With some colleagues, in 2009, I organized an exhibit on evolutionary robotics in the Museum of Zoology in Lausanne, as part of an exhibition<\/a> celebrating the 150th anniversary of Charles Darwin\u2019s “On the Origin of Species”. Two robots, a predator and a prey, co-evolved live over the course of the year-long exhibition. The public could follow their evolution through an interactive interface.<\/p>\n

I am a member of Sense about science<\/a>, “a UK-based charitable trust to encourage an evidence-based approach to scientific<\/em> and technological developments”<\/span>.<\/p>\n
