N\u00e9 \u00e0 la radio au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1930, puis transpos\u00e9 \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision, il est d\u2019abord financ\u00e9 par des fabricants de produits d\u2019hygi\u00e8ne et d\u2019entretien \u2013 d\u2019o\u00f9 son nom saugrenu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Les feuilletons qui en rel\u00e8vent, diffus\u00e9s l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi \u00e0 l\u2019intention des femmes, sont alors construits autour d\u2019un personnage de m\u00e8re courage qui prodigue des conseils moraux et pratiques \u00e0 son entourage, \u00e0 grand renfort de produits dont les m\u00e9rites sont ainsi vant\u00e9s aux consommatrices.<\/p>\n<p>Cet ouvrage se veut une invitation \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir ce format et son histoire, \u00e0 l\u2019intersection du capitalisme, des m\u00e9dias et du genre. Si le soap s\u2019est largement transform\u00e9 au gr\u00e9 des mutations m\u00e9diatiques, sociales et politiques, il reste une \u00ab technologie de genre \u00bb qui circonscrit le f\u00e9minin \u00e0 la vie domestique et sentimentale. Mais il cr\u00e9e aussi, paradoxalement, des espaces individuels et collectifs de contestation des hi\u00e9rarchies sexu\u00e9es, tant par sa narration ouverte, qui permet l\u2019expression de multiples points de vue et ne d\u00e9livre aucune morale, qu\u2019\u00e0 travers les sociabilit\u00e9s qu\u2019il suscite.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"fiches-auteur\">\n<div class=\"fiche-auteur\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lpcm.hypotheses.org\/15525\">Delphine Chedaleux<\/a>\u00a0est historienne des m\u00e9dias et ma\u00eetresse de conf\u00e9rences en sciences de l\u2019information et de la communication \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Technologie de Compi\u00e8gne.
