Established in 2016,\u00a0<\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">JEPS<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0is the official journal of the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espr-it.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">European Society for Periodical Research<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-GB\">. It is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed online open access journal devoted to the study of periodicals and newspapers in Europe from the seventeenth century to the present. It publishes research from a broad range of critical, theoretical and methodological perspectives, including, but not limited to, cultural history, literary studies, art history, gender studies, media studies, history of science and digital humanities.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The\u00a0<\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">JEPS<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0editorial team meets online on a monthly basis to discuss submissions and special issue proposals and to follow up on guest-edited special issues and the publishing schedule in general.\u00a0<\/span>If you are<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">an active participant in the field of periodical studies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">have excellent editorial skills or would like to develop them;<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">have a good working knowledge of English;<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">are at a place in your career where you can devote time to editorial work;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">To apply, please submit a one-page motivation letter and one-page CV to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:Marianne.VanRemoortel@UGent.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Marianne.VanRemoortel@UGent.be<\/span><\/a><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0by 8 November 2021.
