\"\"<\/a>In order to support cultural historical research and encourage\u00a0scholars in their early career, the\u00a0International Society for Cultural\u00a0History<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(ISCH) offers an essay prize that will be awarded each year\u00a0to the best article on cultural history. The ISCH Prize in 2019 is \u20ac350. The winning article will also be published in the society’s journal,\u00a0Cultural History<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The ISCH welcomes original texts that make an insightful contribution\u00a0to scholarship on cultural history through methodological innovation,\u00a0theoretical originality or historiographical significance. Articles on\u00a0any aspect of cultural history, on any historical period or\u00a0geographical area will be accepted for consideration.<\/p>\n

Submissions should be original, unpublished works in English, written\u00a0by scholars who, when applying for the prize, are either preparing\u00a0their PhD or have completed their PhD during the last five years.\u00a0Essays should be double spaced, and no more than 7000 words in length\u00a0(including references).<\/p>\n

To submit an entry, please send a complete application to each member\u00a0of the Prize Committee. The submissions should include a cover sheet\u00a0with author information, a short CV and the essay itself. All files\u00a0should be in PDF format.<\/p>\n

Your submission must be sent not later than\u00a023 April 2019<\/strong>. The\u00a0winner will be announced at the 12th ISCH Conference, to be held in\u00a0Tallinn, Estonia, 26-29 June 2019.<\/p>\n
